![]() A nice-sounding quote! Am I the only person who notices that it was meant to apply to forgiving enemies? But whenever I see it used, it is invariably to excuse friends. I don't see much forgiveness towards enemies by anyone in Trump's circle of evil. |

![]() Or "Roman" salutes, for that matter? |
||||||
|
![]() Not many of my friends show their love for me with a 'Roman' salute! Though lately there has been an outflowing of secret support for Jews, with many synagogues being decorated in the small morning hours with an ancient Sanskrit symbol of well-being. (I think it's called a 'swastika', but for some reason there are people who don't understand its ancient meaning.) |

![]() Not all the right wing embraces lies, to be sure. John McCain didn’t. Liz Cheney eschewed them. Sadly, many who stood on principle and exhibited integrity have either died or been expelled from GOP ranks. Very sad. |

![]() In September, the same account posted: “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity.” Null pointer, with too many ls. Anyone know the significance? The Gemini Oracle provides: A null pointer is a value that indicates a pointer or reference does not point to a valid object or function. Null pointers are often represented by the constant 0 or the macro NULL. When to use null pointers Initialize pointers When the memory address to assign is unknown, a null pointer can be used to initialize a pointer variable. Represent conditions Null pointers can represent conditions like the end of a list of unknown length. Indicate errors Null pointers can indicate errors when returning a pointer from a function. Null pointer dereference A null pointer dereference occurs when a program attempts to access a variable that is pointed to by a null pointer. This can cause the program to fail or crash. Examples of null pointer dereference Malformed requests can cause a denial of service (crash) on a server Crafted requests during authentication protocol selection can cause a denial of service (crash) or allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code A missing argument can cause a denial of service (server crash) on a game Malformed packets can cause a denial of service (crash) or allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on a network monitor Anyway, clearly Musk doesn’t have enough racists a$$holes on his team, which is why the guy is being reinstated. Null is the empty set, which could possibly represent the guy’s intellect. In some languages if you attempt an indexed record read prior to setting the pointer you get an error. |

![]() I kind of wonder I’d the four Ls don’t represent a subtle swastika. |

![]() But her name is different, like she is a cousin or something? I haven’t really followed any of that any closer than I have Jersey Shore, which I guess is about some folks who drink too much. If I even have those channels I’m fortunate enough to never see them. I haven’t watched Naked and Afraid, which carefully blurs things far, far more than Kanye’s girlfriend’s dress. It is like a miniskirt that says, “if you look closely you can tell there actually is a miniskirt here.” Or maybe it says, “clothes are pointless bourgeois affectations.” The message gets lost in the medium. I miss the Think club, where this topic would have received Mo’s probing insight. People are just so judgmental. I liked the dress. It was whimsical. I liked the cut. The choice of fabric. She wore it well. It wasn’t the kind of dress that wore her, if you know what I mean. It wasn’t like the dress was calling attention to itself. I would like to know more about the designer. He is the kind of guy who really appreciates women, and isn’t afraid of toeing right up to “the empress has no clothesline.” I also want to know, machine wash and wear, or delicate press? Dry clean only? |

![]() I’ve probably also seen all of Game of Thrones. None of them all in order, just mostly in order. |

![]() I don't. I've seen many of these self-appointed 'Big Men' in my time and they all have one thing in common. They are unsatisfied with themselves. They need others to cheer them, to fear them, to praise them. That's not 'mastery', but a reaction to their own perceived inadequacy. When (and even if) they reach old age, they are the most unpleasant, bitter, demanding and obnoxious people imaginable. Everything they valued about their self-image has been stripped from them by Time, and they are left with their essential selves. And how hollow, how frail, those essential selves are seen to be! 'Toxic masculinity'? Nah, more like 'post-pubescent childhood'. Of course, if anyone said that to his face he would probably punch his lights out. Just like any twelve-year-old bully would. The true measure of a man is not how much he can demand of others, by how much he is prepared to sacrifice for others. |

![]() Would you call that a cocktail dress? I forget the neckline portion. Was it a V neck, or plunging? Many of the dresses just barely drape over the celebrity’s glands. As though doing their best to avoid hiding intimate details. I do remember Ye’s girl’s dress (I do not recall her name) ending high above the knees, like many short skits. Except it was one piece, which went over the shoulders. Ok, I have unblurred photos, front, side, and back. This dress did catch my attention more than any I’ve seen any other celebrity wear. It was clearly a statement. And it was a false, nasty rumor they were escorted out. They left when they felt like it. Ok, so the seams run from the hem to arm pit. It is cut high on the neck, and out to the shoulder, so there is a lot of material holding it up. Not like those angel hair straps or strapless gowns that are only kept aloft by women without promising careers in ballet or long distance track. The dress reveals personal grooming habits after the Brazilian style. And the shoes are like glass slippers, barely anything there. No jewelry. No earrings, necklaces, or anything to draw attention off the sheer animal magnetism of the dress, which by itself seems as flimsy as the air we breathe. The light does catch folds in the fabric, so that by focusing one realizes there really IS dress, if one pays careful attention. I didn’t mean to spend three posts extolling the virtues of this dress. It is a daring dress. If you spilled red wine on it, would it stain? If you worked out in it, would it develop sweat stains? Does it breathe as well as cotton? And what does a dress like that typically cost? Can I pick one up at JC Penny, or KMart? How long before I can get them on the rack at Goodwill? |

![]() <How long before I can get them on the rack at Goodwill?> What would it matter? I strongly suggest that you DON'T buy one to wear yourself, and if you buy one for your sister she will probably feel insulted. |
||||||
|
![]() Of course, I very rarely buy my own clothes for that matter. The women do a perfectly fine job picking out what I should adorn my Adonis physique. |

![]() Why is there so much opposition to Elon Musk's uncovering the waste in government spending? Because that’s not what he’s doing. He’s sending in coders in their early 20’s, with no idea what various government departments — much less their employees — actually do, and telling people to justify their existence. Moreover, we already have an actual government department (DOGE is an advisory board) to uncover waste. It’s called the Government Accountability Office, and it’s staffed with people who actually have relevant skills and knowledge. We also have Inspectors General for the very same reason — or did, until trump fired them. Elmo’s first target was USAID. They spent about $6 million… with Elmo. On Starlink terminals. And then got a bit concerned when he turned off those terminals for the Ukrainians — but not the Russians — during an attack on Russian warships in Ukrainian waters. So the IG overseeing USAID launched an investigation. Which is now… stopped. THAT is what Elon is doing: protecting his own ass, destroying important parts of our bureaucracy, and performing a stunt in support of the indifferent Donald Trump. End quote. In addiction, with the US data, he can create his own bank or payment processing or other enrich himself even faster opportunity. |

![]() The first was an $8 million contract they listed as $8 billion. The next three were $655 million USAID contracts they listed three times. After eliminating two duplicates they realized they misstated it and reduced it to $18 million. I forget the fifth. Another huge success was a $1.9 billion contract cancelled by the Biden administration. Like Groper, they feel completely entitled claiming credit for the work of others. In other news 40% of the cancelled contracts were either paid in advance or contained legally binding payment schedules. Groper may stiff the contractors as is his common practice, but the lawsuits are no more likely to go his way than his $88.3 million judgement for defaming a woman whose genitals he mauled. MAGA. I believe their website still claims $55 billion even though the Wall Street Journal determined it works out to $2.6 billion at best—with claims of fraud and abuse being outright lies typical of Agent Krasnov and unelected President Musk. |

![]() No can do? How about we close down the carry over interest hedge fund loophole that costs $1.3 billion a year? How about we reconsider the $2 TRILLION wasted on the F-35 fighter that blows? There’s two thousand billion right there. Especially since the next war is go8ng to be fought with drones and block chain anyway. |

![]() Rather than conquering surrounding minor kingdoms, the Egyptians offered their rulers 'tributary' status. But this was not what it sounds like. Each year the various kings would attend to Pharaoh's court in a huge ceremony. There they would praise Pharoah, the God-on-Earth who causes the sun to rise each day, who causes crops to grow, and who provides funds so they can establish armies much bigger than they could afford by themselves, to ensure that outsiders did not disturb the peace of the world. You can see how all this would have been great for domestic politics. Even foreign kings submit to Pharaoh, and even worship him as a god! In return for this praise to God-on-Earth, Pharaoh would bequeath each king with gold, to build monuments to his greatness and to equip armies for their safety. If any king let the team down by NOT establishing an army of the required size, he would not be so well endowed next year. And if he was foolish enough to attack another of the tributaries, Pharoah would denounce him, tell his faithful tributaries to discipline him, and then install a more co-operative successor. Thus Egypt avoided the cost of a standing army of its own, and the risk of a coup that might come from an ambitious Egyptian general. It still cost them plenty of gold, but less than an army of his own because none of the surrounding kings saw any benefit in making the Golden Goose unhappy. And of course, the killing, rape, plunder and destruction that usually went with warfare didn't happen. A similar thing happened during the height of the Byzantine Empire. Rather than spending money and lives fighting off the Vikings coming down the Don River, the Emperor hired them as mercenaries. History knows them as Varingians. They were very handy when it came to keeping the Muslim forces at a safe distance. In the meantime the Varingians made a handy bank balance; Harald Hardrada even made enough to go back to Norway, raise a private army, and make himself king of Norway. England did something similar in India; most of the British Army in India were enlisted Indians, paid for out of profits milked by the Company at first and the Crown later. Even more recently America made the world safe for its corporations by funding Western Europe's security from 1945 to 1990. It cost a lot of money, but those forces weren't standing around idle. The security offered to Europe paid for itself by making Europe a market for American manufactures. And they were being kept sharp by an invasion or a minor war or a coup from time to time, and each time making very profitable arrangements (Trump would call them 'deals') after each excursion. The biggest single difference is that since 1945 the American did it with their own military instead of mercenaries. That proved the deal-breaker once the Soviet Union collapsed. Americans didn't mind a dozen American deaths here, even a hundred or so there; so long as it kept the profits safe. But once there was no Great Satan the American public started to wonder why America was paying so much. The obvious answer ("Because that's how we extort loot from other countries, silly!") wasn't polite enough to say in public, so the whole idea started to fall apart because the American public could see the cost but not the benefit. Now you have a President who has no idea how the American World Order actually operates. Like his ignorant followers, he sees the cost but not the benefit. So he is dismantling what he doesn't understand. I expect that Europe will still be protected. It will take time for Russia to dare attack any NATO country, even without the USA, because Brits and French both have nukes and a top-quality aerospace industry, while the Germans have a huge industrial base and are already producing tanks and other advanced weaponry. And none of them are stupid. If America won't sell arms at a reasonable price, or hint that they might not be made available at all, the Europeans will scale up to make their own. Suddenly America won't be able to 'share' the R & D costs and American weapons exporters will start to feel the pinch. Really, guys! America had the perfect conditions to set up a benevolent hegemony that covered the world, but pi**ed it up against the wall for the sake of one man's ego. |

![]() Comrade Krasnov actually posted this on Truth Social. www.youtube.com I know it isn’t specifically DOGE, though it features the DOGE leader/not leader (the actual scape goat is vacationing in Mexico or “Verminland.”) My apologies is anyone hurled their breakfast. |
