Growing Christian Nationalist Threat
www.texastribune.org

These well funded Christian extremists are using their control to end church state separation and impose their dogma on all who don’t agree. The problem is Texas has veto over national school texts.

Turning Biblical principles into Civil law.

Wouldn't it be great if this actually happened? Let me give you a few examples from just one chapter, Leviticus ch. 25:-

v. 3-5

"For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. 4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. 5 Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest."

v. 13 - 15, 23

“In this Year of Jubilee (ever fiftieth year) everyone is to return to their own property. If you sell land to any of your own people or buy land from them, do not take advantage of each other. You are to buy from your own people on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And they are to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops.... “The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.

v. 28

(If a man has to sell his property to pay a debt and can't raise the money to buy it back) But if they do not acquire the means to repay, what was sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and they can then go back to their property.

v. 37

(concerning lending money and supply of food) You must not lend them money at interest or sell them food at a profit.

Do these 'Christian Nationalists' genuinely support these Biblical commands? Or only the ones they like?

Wouldn't it be interesting when the Religious Right start banning 'idol-worship' (in other words, statues in Catholic Churches) and 'necromancy' (i.e., invoking the saints)?

Nah, they'd never do that, or Catholics would turn against them. They will only push their dogma if it is safe to do so, and never harm their support at the ballot box.

I just shrug. Anyone who wants to live in such a state is welcome to it. I'd simply move interstate. If enough people do that, it will mean redneck states lose skilled workers or other professionals, cutting their own ability to raise revenue as well as their number of Federal seats and Electoral College votes. Average Republican states are already ranking lower on most criteria than Democrat states, and this will only accelerate the trend.

Gee then we might have to take care of the poor, windows, the elderly and foreigners.

Exchange the word Christian with white in that title. Because that is exactly what it is.

Below she is shown mock executing an immigrant, a Final Solution to the nasty vermin problem.

Any competent coach will say how important it is for an athlete to 'visualise' a performance. A Basketyball player, a goal kicker, a floor gymnast, whatever. This is what this chick is doing. Practisibng for the actual event.

It also 'normalises' such behaviour in others, lowering their abhorrence. I remember when Rodney King was beaten by those cops, it was the COPS lawyer who insisted on the video clip being shown repeatedly. The intuitive reaction for most people would be "Why would they make it so obvious that their clients did this?" But if it is done often enough, it becomes an expectation in the minds of the jurors that this always happens. Standard Operating Practice. Ho-hum, nothing unusual here!

And it also encourages latent aggression in others who otherwise would resent these targets, but not much more. It encourages others to take their resentments and put them into action.

I don't know about the States, but in New South Wales this lass would face at least three criminal charges, each punishable by years in prison:-

1. Actions intended to intimidate a group protected by our anti-discrimination laws;

2. Actions intended to provoke hatred of or otherwise discrimination against a group..."

3. Use of a carriage service for each of the above offences.

But hey! We're talking about America here, where even white kids get shot by the dozen most days!

There is a reason why religion was separated from state ages ago. Religion have no business in politics. I distinctly remember the pastor in our church when I was barely older than a toddler. Besides telling me with much glee that I am going to hell where I would burn, burn, BURN forever no matter how good I am (because I am a sinner), the same retard also explained in detail why African people are inferior and will always be slaves to European people. Thus, from the Bible, I was taught that racism, and in effect Apartheid, was God's will, fair and my birthright.

Such are the dangers of religion in politics.

This article awakes a sense of dread in me, because of the aggressive push to infiltrate certain spheres of government. These people do not realize that their agenda is exactly what happened in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. Clerics pushed religion into government and the outcome are countries where freedom is non-existent, tyranny rules and everything evil became the norm.

I agree totally!

History shows that once religion is 'protected' by the state, it becomes controlled by the State. Hans off is the best public policy available.
