Some club members may be on a limited budget and cannot afford some of the things suggested in the posts(books,DVD's and more).That's ok because...... But many things in chess are free as well. One of the best things to help you analyze your games is the Arena Chess GUI and they include many engines with the GUI.So,its a complete free package.You can load in one of the free Hiarcs opening books as well,or use whatever opening book is supplied in free Arena:www.hiarcs.com Other links Arena/Free Komodo/Free Stockfish www.playwitharena.de komodochess.com stockfishchess.org The problem will be loading the programs and opening books into the UCI. It can get tricky...as well as "tuning"them all to maximize. More on that later,just ask!
