A permanent epitaph for an old GK friend...
A good GK friend of mine died in July 2012....Craig Collister (Baronderkilt). The cause was not precisely determined that I know of,but it was believed that he had a seizure. In any case, many of us will miss him and he was a big fixture on GK for years.I know that most of us have already said our good-byes and condolences, but I want to post this sort of permanent memento in honor of him...for his profile no longer exists and I want to keep his memory alive for as long as this club exists. The only other evidence of his former existence on this site is finding some of his past GK forum posts which still exist, but one day will also disappear over time.

His ways of unusual humor, chess insight and discussions of his past OTB play and postal play had a uniqueness only Craig could come up with.I wish I had kept all my old postal chess cards from the past.I would not doubt that I had played him in one of the USCF Golden Knights tourneys in the 1990's,since I had played hundred's of opponents back then all across the country.

Hope he is still having a good chess game up there somewhere!

I feel bad for him, as well, and my condolences also go to him. He was very nice, and back then, when everyone said that I could not improve and I played poorly, worst game on this site, and the second worst in general, in one particular game, he showed a lot of support, in that annotation. I miss him a lot, and @baronderkilt: RIP.

C R A I G
A wonderful generous giving and good man.

And, the story of Craig and his wife lives as one of the best and most inspiring love stories EVER.
Theirs is a touchstone by which to measure the best it could possibly be between a man who loves a woman -- and a woman who loves him.
