Interesting about Ebay and the sellers tactics...I have contacted someone who use to work for the Ebay administration. See,when it states, for example...."that there are 9 bidders on the item",there is many times no "bidders"on the item at all! So,I may see a good item for say,100 dollars which might be worth about 200 dollars somewhere else. Many times you will see your bid of 100 dollars, then the 9 other bidders are labeled as: "bidders identities protected".No one but me is bidding on that item! But what is occuring in reality is that the SELLER are those"secret bidders"who are raising the price over and over again to make it "appear"that there is competition! He is manually raising the price in the hopes that I will raise my 100 bid to maybe 150 dollars! If they do not get what they want(as has occurred before to me),then the seller has the right to remove the item from Ebay! So the other bidders who are labeled "secret bidders",like 10 or 12 of them...do not actually exist! So,its really not a "real"auction, just fraudulent way to do things! For if I had actually won the bid for 100 dollars, then the item would never come to me,since one of the "secret bidders"won! The seller,in reality just took the item back to himself! A few days later,he posts the item again,in the "hopes"that some other sucker will give him the 180.00 her wants! No...complaining to Ebay is like trying to chat to a knat.I have already paid for an item after winning a bid about a year ago, never received the item(from China of course),then the seller disappeared.Ebay has a money back guarantee, but NOT on every item sold, especially from China! And then, you have to submit your complaint within 30 days or less,or no good. Trouble with THAT nonsense is that many items ordered from overseas state on the tracking that my order is expected in about 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So,Ebay states....30 days for complaints! No more auctions on Ebay and never again, anything from China land or Russia. Many people told me the Russian mafia takes your $$ from Ebay and also disappears. That is probably true. Never had any issues with non auction and auctions with a seller from the USA. So,I will stick to only USA auctioneers or non auction sellers. |

If you see that...just run!Or do not run,but place the absolute lowest price you can and do not bid again.See what happens! But even then,do not trust that low bid of yours. Why?Because you may never get the item, even if you "won"the bid!Buyer beware. As to "identities protected",that is hogwash as well. For,when I see my name or other bidders names...its not their real name or identity being exposed. All you see is a handle name like you have on GK!So,there is really "nothing"to protect!Again...hogwash. And as to that seller "reserve"amount that is not listed. It is STILL fraudulent. Why? Because the reserve is not being met or surpassed by any bidder....since the other bidders do not exist!!!Some items do not sell or will not sell for the reserve price, but you still see those "secret bidders"trying to reach the reserve.Yea..in the hopes you fall for those tactics! Just some FYI. |

I tend to now use the “buy it now” option, and always check the seller’s feedback rating. I haven’t participated in an ebay auction for a good while. Amazon is currently my preferred method of online purchase, with delivery usually the next day. We are remote and it saves a journey into the nearby towns. |

Bottom line:I lost 300 dollars that I gave this so called Chinese seller from my Paypal account.... with no refund and no merchandise!!Somehow,Ebay is not as "secure"as they want you to believe. And refunds should NOT be limited to only a few weeks, since I never got the merchandise! |
