saguaro 04-Jun-25, 05:20	I had good success using GameKnot's Search to identify players in a selected rating range, then messaging invitations to those who were not on teams & who had low timeouts, reasonable average time per move, similar current & average ratings, interesting profiles, paid membership, etc. Also skipped those whose games were all tournaments as I learned they typically weren't interested in team play.. We also merged two smaller teams into ours. Good Luck! - Dave (Team Attitude)

apatzer 05-Jun-25, 08:28	southlander To get New members... 1. Contact club owners and ask permission to make a post asking for new members in their club. 2. Look at the rating's list that GK provides on all players on this platform. I'm pretty sure there is a sort option where you can find people who are new to GK. Then send them a recruitment letter formerly and inviting them to place an application for your team.

lord_shiva 06-Jun-25, 10:40	Odd I could have sworn I posted on this thread. Saguaro has great advice. I felt the advanced search tool should have a radio button for team members (and one other feature I presently forget). While you can make the max team score 1 to eliminate anyone who was ever on a team, that also eliminates members who were dropped (like all of Triton) or left a team. Be sure to say completed at least 20 games, and I usually spec one active to eliminate those just using GK messaging. Oh, and the Americans tend to insist they despise team efforts. I got a lot of that. My best recruitment efforts targeted Eastern Europe, but other areas of the globe might work as well.
