Ratings Manipulators: my list
These people have almost certainly manipulated at one time or another.

Chess_tise: has been throwing games for the last 20 games or so. Has won a number of GK tournaments. Does not play on teams BUT certainly throws games on the tournament list.

pulaster: won multiple mini-tournaments. Severe rating manipulation (near straight line of rating from 2019 thru 2024).

copmanis: multiple tournament winner. When you check their games during the tourneys, you will normally find extremely accurate play (no errors when measured against the GK computer in post analysis).

Kldr: unusually high team rating compared to normal rating (has 31 points out of 36 games).

Ratings
I wish GK would keep ratings separate from each other; i.e. distinct ratings for team play, league ,ladder, etc. Don’t know how much more work this would be for them.
In that way incentives to manipulate would be blunted.

I play a lot of ladder and league games. You get to play a wide range of players that increases game variety not usually found in team games where the pool is limited to a tighter window of ability.
When I lose too many of these types of games (within 16 moves or less), GK will send me daily annoying messages that I will be prohibited from further team games until my game loss record is kept below 20 (or so, I cant recall). You start getting these alerts when you obtain 10.

Which makes no sense as I am apt to get clobbered more in those game rather than in team games.

Clobbered
GK ought to modify their warning to not count games where the rating difference exceed 150 points. I challenged a bunch of 2400+ platers awhile back, and lost every game but one. Never got a warming, but maybe I didn’t break the threshold.

LS
The trick is to go past 16 moves. Losing 10 or games under 16 moves within 30 days gets you red-flagged.

Don't ask me how I know!!

I avoid anyone who is +300 above me especially since GK has weird unwritten “rules” on red flagging.

Moves
Ah. Yeah, I generally like to play out to force mate, or at least to a clear end game result. I felt my average moves per game needed a boost. Except I recently joined the slow ladder, and stepping on lower rated players has helped me rise pretty fast. At one point I was +101, and only lost one early game. Not quite onto the first page yet, but I have issued first page challenges. Then it looks like I may be stymied in any further ascent. My team mate, Bear, was way up around the top twenty.

Adding gemcutter: fairly flat ratings and won one tournament.
