![]() Also, I am very sorry that you see it as arguing. I do not argue with John. I agree with most things he says. I sometimes voice my opinion when I disagree, that is all. I am only trying to help. Thank you, Michael |

![]() chess players. Chessterminator: Roxanol and I have never had a negative discussion about chess or anything of the like. He has the utmost respect and concern for our team. Whenever we can, we discuss and trade chess information. For example, if a particular opening peaks one or the other's interest, we initiate an unrated game and investigate the opening and/or the notation. He even took the time to go through an entire unrated game involving the Keona-Hiva Gambit in one day to see what the overall results of this mysteriously uncommon opening would be and he was impressed I might add. Roxanol, like you, is a good person, a great chess player and good friend. To be honest; he (to my knowledge) has never judged a player's chess abilities....only the methods used. Roxanol recently used what I call The Because Method. I posted middlegame tips in the forum and he indicated in some places that certain moves may be bad..........because; and offered and good explanation for it. But after reviewing them and pointing out some mistakes, I researched his reply to my initial forum message, investigated the website I got the info from and due to its misleading concepts, I quickly deleted the entire post; why? Because I refuse to give out any chess information that is going to have a negative impact on my team's and friends' chess decisions and chess skills and for that, I apologize. Roxanol: Chessterminator is one of the pioneers of our team and a proud Red Rook. When others left us high and dry with point-gobbling timeouts and team resignations with no explanation, Chessterminator has always stepped up to the plate and has never backed down from a challenge or chess battle. I am proud to have him on the team because he brought a true "team player" attitude with him. His presence on our team is one of the many reasons I try hard to be a good captain; because of his concern for the team and its members. He is an outstanding young chess warrior with fierce potential. I have learned not to "take my eyes off of his pieces" for one second; as he has the ability to sneak up on his opponent and turn the entire game around. Gentlemen; I welcome any and all critiques of the chess information that I send out, as most of it is quoted and acknowledged from SM & GM-level chess books that I have here at home. I thank you both for taking the time to read this long-winded response of mine. I wish you both many blessings and good luck in all your games. |

![]() As for you Chessterminator... I hope you understand that there is no problem between me and your captain. Him and I have had many discussions on Chess Openings and Middlegame ideas. It is the only way we learn. We challenge each other. Regardless, keep doing what your doing. There are many people here that stick their nose where it does not belong. When Captains run into such troubles, they need the support of their team, players like you. Michael L. |
