Perhaps it is a race
Or an emergency, and they need supplies. There were more holes in that question than in our universe. lol, just a space joke. Ok to stick with the riddles, here's one:

Not easily pictured am I.
Elusive like the breath of a sigh.

24 square faces in multiple dimensions and spaces.
8 cubes of ice for a drink that's quite nice.
32 edges; not silly green hedges.
16 vertices all bathing in the seven seas.

by 8 hyperplanes I am bound; yes my description is sound.

What am I?

Nice try!
Close but no cigar.

Here's a hint.
It is to the cube, as calculus is to algebra.
mozz

a hypercube?
soulcrates

Please elaborate, Mozz.
I'm not sure what a hypercube is exactly.
mozz

Apparently,
it is a normal cube extended into the fourth dimension. I tried to conceptualise it but I got a headache and had to grab a beer.

a water molucule? (I doubt that im right)
soulcrates

Mozz, that is the correct answer.
Answer:
A Tesseract.

The tesseract is to the cube as the cube is to the square. It is four dimensional, as a cube is in three dimensions.

A tesseract is bounded by eight hyperplanes (xi = ±1). Each pair of non-parallel hyperplanes intersects to form 24 square faces in a tesseract. Three cubes and three squares intersect at each edge. There are four cubes, six squares, and four edges meeting at every vertex. All in all, it consists of 8 cubes, 24 squares, 32 edges, and 16 vertices.

a woman
goes into a hardware store to buy something for her house. the clerk tells her, "one costs twelve cents, forty-four costs twenty-four cents, and the price for a hundred and forty-four is thirty-six cents. what does the woman want to buy?

Aitch?
Is it really a word, or just onomatopoeia? The only definition I've found was "it's the letter H".

aitch  /eɪtʃ/ Pronunciation Key -
–noun
the letter H, h.
[Origin: ME ache < OF

Jeff, again
What word is that? You said what "two" words are spelled the same as they sound, and I gave you Queue, which is a line of people or time to act in a play. You said aitch was the other one, but your definition is that aitch is only the pronunciation of the letter H and not a word by itself. Again, I ask you what word is aitch? Perhaps I'm missing something.
zorroloco

aitch
it is the name of the letter. see where it says it is a noun. that means it is a word, right? most of the nouns i know are also words : )
soulcrates

Then every letter is a word.
Is that what I am understanding? As long as it's in the phonetic spelling and not just the letter, it's a word?

According to the National Association Of Writers, the spelling of letters goes...
Ay Bee Cee Dee Ee Eff Gee
Aitch Eye Jay Kay Ell Emm
Enn O Pee Queue Are Ess Tee U
Vee Double-u Ex Why Zed.

I have rarely seen any of them actually used, apart from aitch, double-u and zed...the last one Americans spell zee.
