Pretty well thanks. I am currently playing a gentleman whom I suspect is cheating. I played a 1750 last month who cleaned my clock, the guy I'm playing now (league game) was a 1078 when we started, and is now a 1211. The first game he wiped me out worse than the 1750 player. The second game was going the same until I slowed it down and waited a few days between moves. I figured it will make it a nuisance to reload the game into his chess engine. The tide has now started to turn in the game. I am not 100% positive that he was cheating, but I reviewed his games, and am reasonably sure. Oh well what are ya gonna do, right?

Cheating player
What you may want to do is check his profile, if there is more than 1 person playing from the same computer, then it may be that he is this other player also. the way to check who (if anybody) is playing from the same computer is that it will have their name in the space above the small graphic of their chart on the left hand side of the profile screen. In response to softpawn, it is all going okay, my rating is increasinga fair bit & I'm noticing an upturn im my game generally. Let me know when you're up for another team game & I will get it set up. Take care everybody.

Chess Engines
Sorry for my delay in reply guys. Just on the chess engine thing, you can get some engines that let you save a current game config as a file and then re-open them so don't be so sure duece-er that they aren't playing you. I too sometimes feel I am playing someone who may be cheating. I think it is also more prevalent in team games. But you are right in that there is nothing you can do. Correction... there is 1 thing you can do and that is take pride in not being a cheat Having said all this it is still just a guess on my part but you can sense these things after a while.
When I play genuinely better players than me I can sense they are not cheating although they are wooping me but you get other games where their rating is not too high and they make these conservative "text book" like moves that slowly suffocate you as if you were playing a computer. I know the really good players on this site can tell when they are playing someone who is cheating as they are experienced. Unlike them I am no expert but the more games I play I am building up a bit of a clue. Maybe I just need to play as many high level players as I can to get better as a player. This way I might change in attitude by not losing as much but on the other side I may be more sceptical of others - who can tell? In any case well done PAWNOGRAPHERS.
PS I am just finishing off some lingering games at the moment. When I get home internet I will re-embark.
