I Think We're Alone Now - Tommy Jamee and the Shondells
Rock 'n Roll music on the radio was still, for the most part, innocent. Such as this hit which introduced me to 45 RPM records!

Jefferson Airplane rocked. Grace was amazing. And their guitarist, Jorma, was great. I saw him play several times solo and with the duo Hot Tuna featuring Jefferson Airplane’s bassist Jack Casady

Here’s Hot Tuna (2011) with mandolinist Mitterhoff doing Good Shepard by Jefferson Airplane, 1969.

This is great

To Sir, With Love by Lulu
An "Ode to" any of those teachers from our school days who made a real positive impression in your life.

My favorite teacher was a no nonsense, ex Army veteran who had no favorites, but did have a good sense of humor. He explained how he graded our report cards. Using a quarter he would flip it into the air. Heads meant you earned an average grade. Tails earned you a passing grade only. It it landed on it's edge without falling you got a very good grade. If the eagle in the quarter did a jumping jack, you we're at the head of the class!

Zappa
Well of course. I’m prone to harder stuff myself, but as an acoustic guitar player, I’ve developed an appreciation for acoustic/folk too.

But yeah... Clapton, Hendrix, Stones,Zappa, Santana, Zeppelin, is more my style

Not what you're talking about. Sorry.
Acoustic guitar is great music of course. But unless you find a classical music station it's hard to find any.

We have a great classical music station here, and they're play some Spanish classical music sometimes. Very enjoyable.

That song has a special place in my heart. I had two teachers who changed the trajectory of my life. What I gave them in return was to live my life well and passed on what they taught me to my children.

Back in the day teschers had more freedom to install morals and values which in these "modern" times are politically incorrect.

Several of my teachers were role models for me and I will be ever grateful for the love and discipline that they demonstrated to the class.

I didn't know how to properly repay them so I came back to see them while on leave from the Marine Corps and to thank them in front of their current students.

Not to make this thread about politics

“Back in the day teschers had more freedom to install morals and values which in these "modern" times are politically incorrect.”

This is totally untrue. My most important job as a teacher, imo, was modeling and instilling morals and proper values of compassion, perseverance, diligence and pride in work.
