aandersen 26-Aug-08, 23:55	I dont want our club to fizzle out. We are going through a bit of a bad time just now. This is largely as a result of the shambles of the original white v black team competition. I accept and apologise for the fact that this was entirely my fault. (I am trying quite hard to find some way of blaming muttit for at least some of it, but at the moment I can’t). However, if we want our club to thrive and prosper, it is now time to get over that and move forward. I’m sure none of us want our club to stagnate and fizzle out. I for one am prepared to say that I don’t want that to happen. As in real life, we need to learn from bad times and use them make us stronger. It is not important that we are top or bottom of the league in terms of number of posts. The important thing is that everyone enjoys their chess in general and feels that being part of the club adds an extra dimension, and a touch of fun, to their chess playing. I will now try to find some new ideas for events, threads and ways to make things better for us. I feel that we all need to make just a bit more effort at this time, to open our minds and come up with some new ways forward.

Current 1st CA Mini tourney (savy Organizer) 1st CA KO Tournament ( Captain Iceberge ) CA world cup ( nobody really in charge and people losing interest What is too come 2nd CA Mini tourney ( to be decided ) 2nd CA KO Tournament ( to be decided ) C.A.'s Chess Olympics ( dariustheking in charge ) CA team tourney ( to be decided ) I think I have it all. I don't want the club to fade out and I will take charge of any tournament you want me to take care. some member are here just to play they don't like talking so we should give them precise direction on the tournament they are involve. Let me know what you think.
aandersen 27-Aug-08, 12:04	I think we should ask Eddie (ecj2) if he would like to manage the world cup tournament because he has already done some updates and generally shown more interest in it than most. I think mini tournaments dont need much looking after as GK provides the framework for this so everyone can see what is going on. If nobody else wants to manage an event, i'm sure that bobbob and I could manage the two KO tournaments between us.
