okra...the hidden vegetable it occurs to me that if you are reading this as you drive south of montgomery, alabama, that if you have 4 cans of okra in the grocery bag that no one else is coming to dinner this week. i would like to know if you wait up until the late 11:00 p.m. movie and curl up in the lounge chair with a cold can of okra and some saltines ?....is that a really good time ?...do you feel selfish hiding the okra behind the 10 lb coffee bag so that no one else who comes over will find out you have some okra ?...do you scream at the tv when chef gordon ramsey never puts okra to the test on hell's kitchen ?....what do you expect at your eulogy ?.." she ate okra and read the Good Book"....hmmm...
