The new object now drifting through our solar system is a comet that passed within 6 light years of Kruger 60 about a million years ago. en.wikipedia.org The first object we THINK was an asteroid, though it was cigar shaped. Very long, and highly unusual. We know of no asteroid anything like it in our solar system.

lord_shiva 27-Nov-19, 20:58	Speculate Away Alien craft immediately leaps to mind, but I think they anticipate the average density was too high for that. Unless they were aquatic organisms. The other explanation would be that the craft was full of supplies. The problem with the explanation is that the craft was tumbling. Maybe to provide artificial gravity? Maybe the control systems had failed? Too bad we could not reconnoiter with it. That would have been awesome. Maybe a sampling mission. We really should try to prepare a mission for the next interloper. As for the comet, they estimate a 10% chance it will break apart. That would be interesting.
