![]() Several of you readers already have played a Walking the Walk game with me. but for those who have not here are the rules.. - The master (2k+) never has played a game with you before - You have played 50 games or more on GK - You are rated under 1850 - You have Talked the Talk - You will play the white pieces - The Master (2k+) will start the game ( always ) - You will discuss or annotate the game - You do not give up, you have to walk it all the way unless you have a proved forced mate! - You can only play 1 Walking the Walk game with each Master (2k+) in this club - A second game ? Well that will be a other section more about that later - ( I always play rated, i can not ask the same from my fellow 2K+ players but i hope they do ) |

![]() win with cunning tactics ---- as shown in your quick victory over a 1950-rated player's Sicilian: ![]() Your annotations would be illuminating for all, particularly regarding your piece-sacrifices ("Beware the Greeks and the gifts they bring. . . ![]() student -teacher, private unrated game it would be different. After the game i will help with analysis whether or not i win or lose. If someone wants to take the walk with me then let it be so. Drop me a line and i will send the challenge.... Such were the calamities which the two mighty sons of Cronos brought upon the fighting hosts by their conflicting wills. Zeus willed victory to Hector and the Trojans.... Poseidon was for the Argives; he slipt out secretly from the sea and supported them because he was grieved at their discomfiture and indignant against Zeus.... So the two gripped the rope of war and tugged away over both armies with strong pulls, never breaking or loosing it while they loosed the knees of many a man. The Iliad Book 13. |

![]() ion, I don't really know, but it seems to be an expression; I've read it several times on easy's comments. But this one I cannot understand... - You will play the white pieces - The Master (2k+) will start the game ( always ) "will start" means that the master is the one that will challenge you? So you cannot challenge a master... I guess (unless black moves first |

![]() For the latter: yes - the 'master' issues the challenge. I have to admit I'm not 100% comfortable with this, feeling that the ... erm ... aspirants (shall we say) should issue the challenge. However, it has to be admitted that if the 'master' were to wider their acceptance criteria to accept all such challenges, they would become inundated. I had to tighten my own some time ago on account of that happening. |

![]() If i see a player talk somewhere or comment on something and catches my attention. And i never had played him.her before. Then i send out a challenge called walking the walk, Because i have noticed them to be talking the talk. It is/was my way to determine what sort of player he/she is and how strong. for the rule the 'master' issues the challenge well that is just to be in control of the number of games and the terms of the game. |
