I'm 5-3-1 vs players in the 1800s (excludes game vs thunderfoot which was going too slow). just accepted a draw offer in this game game I probably would have played 15. ...Qf5. you can see I was cramped until this point. playing as black. plus I've never won vs an opponent rated in the 1870s (my confidence was not exactly low, though my mindset was that it would be reasonable I would not win vs a player rated in the 1870s who was playing white. so it was not a winning mindset either). perhaps in a moment of weakness, I accepted his draw offer. didn't chat with him at all. maybe I was a too slow and the game was looking like a grind to him? game might have opened up and equalized after 15. ...Qf5. I probably could have removed the pawn on d5. may have become interesting. what do you think. reasonable or pathetic etc to accept the draw? how were black's chances? what do you think of 15. ...Qf5? comments re mindset of black vs higher rated players? Other comments?
