![]() Of course that means black's pawn is on it's original square b7, and the solver is sitting on the black side of the board. However, I prefer "inattentive solver" over "bad solver" because if you turn the board around there's more than one solution. |

![]() No white Qb6 wouldn't work because if the pawn on f2 goes and does queen, then it wouldn't be checkmate in one. gotta think about all the moves! |

![]() How are you gonna mate the king if black promote his pawn into Queen. At least check all possibilities before making puzzle. The good puzzle would be which can be solved in only one way. Really bad puzzle |
