Problem for problemists?

Since this was composed problem appearing in Probleemblaad, I think the paradox of the 'brute force', game like key move is the point.
A problemist would wait for something like 1.Qd2 c4 2.Ra5# or 1...cxb4 2.Qd5#, but funny enough the 'arrogant' 1...Kc4! defeats.

I hate those check on first move composed problems...

in my opinion a good composed problem doesn't need it. It takes away a bit of the beauty.

very easy, but ironic ... 1. Bd3+, ... take the pawn (Kxb4), the black pawn occupies the escape square, interpose the pawn (c4), and the white pawn now guards what would have been the escape square ...
