1...Kd3 2. Ke1 Ne3 Threatens 3...Re2 ++, but White can reply 3.Rg2 and delay the mate by one move.
Since analysis revealed the flaw in this line, the pawn push line was the obvious next line to analyze.

Finding the key move was the easy bit

...at least for me. Black can check in several ways, but after seeing that none of them will work, the problem is how to prepare for mate while avoiding spite checks from the R. Kd3, apart from threatening mate, is also the only way to escape the unwanted attentions of the R.
