had to use the hint once. cant think that far ahead yet. I like these that are easy but make you think ahead more than 2 or 3 moves.

it isn't a bad use of rooks. The algorithm played the moves that would extend the game the longest. Sometimes in the game your pieces are out of place and you lose as a result. Most people would likely resign after the first two moves, but the use of the rooks is to prolong the inevitable.

only thing I disliked about the puzzle was the rooks for added moves

personaly I just enjoy a nice and clean one unless it's part of the puzzle... here it's just clearly prolonging a nice puzzle and doesn't add a single thing

if the extra pieces aren't there, then it is sometimes too simple to see what should be done. Adding extra pieces adds realism and makes you think things through more.
