This is the most beautiful one star puzzle I've seen. Very easy but a very nice zugzwang.

I felt like there were many other solutions that were constantly rejected by the computer. Maybe I am a sore loser, but it seemed to restricted for as many correct solutions there were.

I think it is relatively difficult for an easy puzzle.....mating is easy; in 2 is tougher.

Truehaven, for a mate in 2, there was one solution. The bishop check slows the inevitable. Fastest mate requires moving the king. (This took me a while to see as well. First time I have seen this type of puzzle.)

I don't see how moving white king is necessary.

If White Queen takes Black Knight, black can only move their Pawn or Bishop, neither or which would stop a checkmate by moving Queen to c3.

Oh... By not moving your King, you are open for check, right?

No, you wouldn't be open for check because black can't move their bishop (would put himself in check). I'm new with these puzzles of the day, but I would agree with your comment that many appropriate moves are called incorrect

The ultimate goal of these puzzles is to find the most EFFICIENT checkmate and in that sense there can only be ONE correct line. Sure, the QxN is possible but it just prolongs the game unnecessarily.

If the Knight is captured we have:

1.Qxa3 Bf5+ 2.Kg3 Bd1 3.Qa8 Bf3 4.Qxf3# or (3.Qa1/Qc1 f5 4.Qxd1#) which leads to win but takes twice as long. Certainly you don't want your flag to fall during bullet chess when you have a sure win do you?

Ah, I see what you mean; the solution I was trying for white to move queen to d4 then to g1 for mate, but I didn't realize that that would leave the black bishop available to check the white king (That must be the scenario truehaven mentioned before).
