Easy and Fun

The knight move relation between f8 and h7 lead me to think 1f8Nch almost immediately. The only issue was to confirm that 2Ng6ch was indeed double discovered check. Easy but fun; thanks for posting!

Good one

I spent some time looking over rook sacrifices knowing that check had to be in all moves, and that's when the pawn to knight promotion hit me as the only possibility. From there it all unfolded neatly! Nice.

Agreed, Pf8=N does pretty much jump off the page at you even though I couldn't immediately visualise the mate.

I once managed to find one real game (can’t remember it now) where a player underpromoted to knight to give checkmate. Must be delicious to play.
