For me move 4 came naturally but for some reason I had to think about move 2.
I kept wanting to use the queen or the rook for move 2.

The "nice" or "interesting" part of the puzzle. This was extremely easy and for me, and not very interesting.

If this had been set up after the first two moves as a mate in three, it would have been more useful.

True, the desperado Rf2 does not add much to the puzzle. Instead, add a black Bishop at a6 and move the d2 rook to c8. Then put 2 white rooks on c1 and e1. Then the solution has a rook sac instead of the desperado and more false trails to evaluate (e.g. 1.Rxc8). I haven't done a full evaluation to ensure there are no alternate solutions with those changes.

minor change

My suggested mod allows an alternate solution: 1. Rxc8 Bc4+ 2. Kb2 Rxc8 3. Qf7+ Kg8 4. Nf6+ Kh8 5. Qh7++. So the e1 rook needs to be on d1 instead.
