computer is destroying me
I've played about 30 games against the computer on intermediate level and can barely make it past move 10 without suffering significant material or positional disadvantage. Theoretically, the computer level is below my gameknot rating, but it appears at least twice as good as me. Admittedly I put less care into my moves than rated games, but it's still a shock to get crushed so relentlessly. Anyone else experience this and, given the unorthodox way the computer plays, how much value is there in these games as a training aid?

I don’t think this is unusual, I always get ‘outfoxed’ by computers. They’re sharper in quick play compared to slower, considered play, IMO.

I can understand your predicament I've had it myself , we all do When I started with mine and struggled with my so called level I dropped a level , learned how to play the computer got used to winning 🙌 and then returned to what I hoped was my level and enjoyed it more still getting beat ! Personally I think a problem solving mode or analysis is better to train with ,
