send message to all people I am playing games with.
I want to be able to send a message to all people I am playing games with.

It appears that the wireless network for the ISP I use is congested. This means that my Internet connection is dropping out and reconnecting randomly. Really affects ability to reach Gameknot to continue my games.

I would like to be able to send a bulk message to say I am having problems with my ISP and if I do not move it is because my connection is intermittent. Even though the signal strength is excellent Another ISP provider told me that all ISP providers are having problems with wireless in my area.

suggest could be option that when player starting game they have option of selecting minimum ranking of other player to be higher then their own ranking.

e.g. a player that is 1299 now cannot select minimum rating of other player to be above 1299, the only category lower than that is 1200.

Does gameknot even read this?
This is a great site, but let's face it, they aren't exactly the most communicative site out there. I am not trying to be a jerk here, just stating a fact. Do you wonder if they even read this, or if they are concentrating on their own To-Do List...? And I am not saying that just because the wish-list isn't getting done is proof that they don't read it; that would be dumb to say. I know they are working hard, but perhaps throwing a note out to the members (even make it just the paying members as a Thank-You) about what's going on and what's coming up would be a great help. And I know that you can't please everyone, and that with each informative note they send there will be blowback from people not liking this or that, but that comes with the territory. You can't please everyone, but you *can* improve your communication with the members, especially the paying ones.

Communication
It'd be nice to see MIKE coming out of his ivory tower more often, yes. But he's good at what he's doing, and that's quite important, I think.

"What's coming up"

I have no clue what's coming up. Every little attempt at information is refuted by "we don't want to create false expectations when it isn't ready yet"

So true....
Heinzkat, I know what you are talking about, but then I think to a certain degree that is a stall tactic. I would rather know what's being thought about and know that it might not come true rather than not know anything at all. *At all*. I mean, even if they made it more ethereal, like "we are considering changes to the GUI" or "maybe a few more chess set pieces will be released". But if they are not doing this kind of stuff just so they don't have to face the people emailing back to them with questions/comments/etc. then forget it. That is just part of running a business. I know of another chess site where they have just as many (if not more) members and they are constantly answering questions. Gameknot has made some *great* improvements recently, and it would have been nice to know that they were being developed. Just some kind of regular communication with the members would be nice. And every note from GK to the members doesn't have to have some sort of groundbreaking news -- just more of a ping. Just SOMETHING on a regular basis -- it doesn't even have to be often.

wishlist
1. a full forum search function
2. when starting a game - being able to set range of other player's min and max ranking rather than having preset numbers.
3. Being able to message all players of current games e.g. if moves will be delayed but no postponement.
4. Being able to choose whether blue circles appear on board when you click on a piece. Right now I do not have to predict whether a piece can be taken in the next move of my opponent. All I need to do is to click on each of my opponents pieces and it shows what squares the piece can move to and what piece they can take if capture is available. You cannot avoid using it on your own pieces because the blue dots show if you try a move. You can avoid clicking on the opponent's pieces though. At this ranking I really appreciate seeing the blue dots (may be a different colour depending on how you set up your computer) - it helps but i would like to be able to choose whether this feature was switched on or not.

You can get rid of those blue circles by going to 'board settings / show available legal moves' on your game page.

myrydin thanks
I went to board settings, found "show available legal moves" and decided to switch the blue circles off.

Now if there sere a search function i would not have needed to reiterate my suggestions in my previous post to keep them together at all - the search function would have brought all my posts together.

My wish
Wen i am annotating a game i like to have a option to use hard enters in my comments..

very often my txt looks silly. and 2 separate views and worked out combinations are looking as onelonglineoftxtthatishardtofollow.. just because there is no space in between.

perhaps there is already a way to do that but i have not found it yet..

I agree with you easy. The same is true is true when commenting on another person's annotation. Allowing the ability to space things out will make the text so much more readable.
