Rating glitch with early joining of league

Hi,

I think I came across a rating glitch .

All excited about the website, I took Premium, joined a ladder and league when I was still within my early 1200 fixed rating. I was automatically set in League D3 because of that. After finishing my 6 first games I calculated my initial rating shout be around 1900 or so.

However, I see my rating got stuck on the upper limit set for the D3 league --> 1798 .

Anything to be done about this? Also, still possible to join a league now which reflects my actual rating?

Due to technical reasons, a player's rating cannot change by more than +/- 127 points after a single game. As the result, your provisional rating might be slightly lower than the theoretical maximum that can be otherwise achieved during the first 6 rated games. Your rating will reach the correct level as you complete more games.

I think rating only affects which division a player starts in. After that, the division they are in depends solely on their results. If a player is in D3 and leaves the league, their league games continue; and their overall league score will still change.
If their league score has increased while they were absent from the league, they would be placed in D2 when the join the league; so, if their score has decreased they would be placed in E1; and if their score is the same they would be placed back in D3.
I'm not absolutely sure of what I've said - it might be that their score has to be sufficiently negative or positive to put them in a different division from the one they were in before.
