save analysis as conditionals moves?
I'm not a very frequent visitor of this site, However lately I started using this site more & more. And although I can't imagine it hasnt been proposed before (or maybe its even a feature for gold member) one nice feature for me would be to save your analysis as conditional moves.

For the rest I'm enjoying my games greatly!

Jeroen.

You will use your conditional moves as soon as play diverts way from them, whereas you can save your analysis to the "Game note" section for that game on your "My Games".

What do you exactly mean with save your analysis as conditional moves?
I use personal game notes to annotate ideas, analysis (such as if 14. b4 than 14. ... Nd6 15. e5 Nf5 and so on, if I am not setting conditional moves), link to games... if a smart way to annotate those kind of things exist, please tell me! 😁

Analysis
I quite often use the analyse board, to anal yze my moves. I gives me a visual feedback on the potential threats and wins on certain moves. Sometimes I'm like 5 moves ahead. If I could store at that point as conditional moves I have 1) the conditional moves and 2) persisted my line of thinking.

If my opponent chooses to do something else my conditional game stops of course but I also have an insight where my line of though diverses from my opponent. Of course It would be ideal if, using the analysis board, I could store multiple "branches" as conditional moves.
Hope this explains it? English is not my mothertongue.

Are you speaking of chess β€œengine” analysis during active games? I’m not sure that is allowed.

Not engine analysis
but the analysis option when its "my move". The link below the submit button. When playing on the computer (I don't see this option when playing on my mobile phone)

I only play on my mobile and was not aware of that feature. Thank you

@jijijiji: I also play on my mobile phone, in the "Options" tab you can use the feature "Analyze the board" which allows you to move pieces on the board to calculate next moves. It's a very useful feature, and now I also get the suggest of dr_jerry and I agree that would be really a nice feature, very useful in tactical positions. As I said I annotate ideas on notes, but of course it would be more comfortable to do it with an automatic tool.

@jijijiji thanks to you too πŸ˜„ I'll challange you for another game as soon I finish some active games.
@dr_jerry you doubled your consensus in just a week, from 1 to 2, but if it starts raising doubling each week I am sure that GK admin would seriously think about this feature. 😁 More seriously, I am sure it can be useful to all GK players, years ago I used to make a massive use of analyze the board, that function would be very useful.

Analyze the board
@sodiumattack Analyze the board is great! My penny also goes for working conditional moves from analyze the board feature

Good idea
I like this idea. For now, I copy and paste the moves into the private Note section, which works fine - though easier on the computer than phone.

Notes
There is currently no way to move the analysis to conditionals. As noted, copy and paste the analysis to notes and set up conditionals from there.

The analysis tool is like setting up a chess board. The advantage is that it does not permit illegal moves--moving twice, into check, and other things one might overlook on a physical board.

feature suggestion
it was original in my first post

Analysis of a game could also be written down in annotate... as far as I know, annotate (if saved) will remain there unless it is deleted (or the game is deleted); I don't think notes will survive the end of the game (in case you wanted to look over it afterwards).
