![]() GK needs to NOT post a players regular game rating, but their present blitz rating when the player appears in the blitz board. And for obvious reasons. No need to go into why so.Sure, one can see their blitz rating if they choose to waste a few seconds looking for it and only 3 seconds could cause a game loss in the end at a 5/0 game when its down to the wire in seconds to time-out. So,having the real blitz strength hovering with an opponents name can alter the way one wants to approach the game or even cancel the game.I have seen separate ratings on other chess sites,so I know its not some programing nightmare to accomplish it.Just a thought. 2.Just like ladder games, blitz attack and other GK lists, the new rated blitz players need to have a "top player list" to show who is at the top for that period in time.It does not have to be changed every hour or day,but perhaps once a month or so.It gives more blitz players the "push"and harder "will" to move up the ladder of blitz players to a higher level if they can, showing just how they are improving.Plus, even I would like to know ahead of time, who is beating me in this rated blitz even before they appear in front of me and without taking 3/4 seconds to click on the players name and do an eyeball search. ![]() I have played some blitz opponents having a 1400 blitz rating but having a 2500+ regular rating. Some 1200 players having no regular game rating at all for years.I try to steer clear of those 1200 rated, for you never know what you are about to receive, unless you played them many times before or quickly check their blitz rating ahead of time.1200 players to me,are the most dangerous in theory. That is why posted ratings on the blitz boards are important, not their regular GK board long game ratings. |
