BLITZ V2 ...new thread, problem & suggestion also**** A problem I have, while using my FF (it is the newest-version from Mozilla) or my IE-7 to blitz in V-2. The thing is that I can be playing or waiting and suddenly the board page will disappear entirely ... then I find it has minimized itself. So I have to click it back to use. It does not close of freeze, just minimizes for no reason. If I recall correctly, opponent making a move May bring it back to top, but am not sure on that. But it can do this once or a number of times during any particular game. If this makes any difference, I usually play TC's between 3 minute minimum, to 3 min. +3 maximum (which includes 5 and 10 min games). Anyone else have this happening?! *** A couple suggestions I have. The first I would really like to see. The 2nd would be a nice touch. #1 ... I would like it if there were a list kept for us of the opp's we play during any particular blitz session, that we could access to get someones NIK for a PM or Profile Look-up after the games, and so not have to stop and do it at the time. *** #2 ... Many players have CHAT off. Perfectly understandable during blitz play. Yet it would be nice to at least be able to say "Hi" or "GG" , perhaps a couple other common sentiments/statements. Those things are nice; even if CHAT is off, whether to concentrate on the play, or to avoid unpleasant commentary, etc. ...a few items Pre-stated which we could just Click on to say. Such as "hi" & "gg", that would go to them even if CHAT were off. This would be good for me, since I have no desire to appear unfriendly on the rare occasion I may turn off chat. *** What do others think ? |

problemsYour suggestions I agree with especially the 2nd one. Some of my observations: I have played 1 or 2 games where the following happened. The time control approaches 0 for both players in say a 3min blitz game. I checkmate him a 1 or 0 seconds left. The board said I won and display said I lost due to time out. surely this is a mistake. Secondly several 'blitz' chess sites I have been to use a program called "timeseal" or "timestamp". This accurately translates the seconds to the right number. Not sure if this feature is already there but if not I would be a nice addition. |
