Analyze Mode.

I really like the analyze mode to try different moves.
five or six moves in I see the dead end and want to try another way.
By instinct I hit the double arrow back and find myself at the beginning of the game...
Every time....
Is there a way to get back to the position at hand, or is there room for an improvement?

There is a reset button at the bottom of the screen.

Click directly on the move where your analysis started (in the move-list on the right-hand side)

Indeed, clicking "reset" will reset the position to the current board position, and all the moves you've analysed beyond the current position will be lost, meaning you can't scroll forward beyond the last real move.

Clicking the move on the move-list will take you to the move without removing your analysed moves, meaning you can scroll forward.

Alternatively, you could open up two analyse windows (or more) from the same game to compare two lines at the same time, though I rarely feel the need to do this.
