The Missing Link

Sometimes, when I have enjoyed a game I wish to send my opponent a short private message, saying thanks for the good game and sending him greetings (instead of the handshake he would be getting after a good game of otb chess).

I usually do so by using the "send private message" link on the players profile page.

One of my recent opponents doesn't have this link. (As a sidenote, I think that the link "add to friends list" is also missing for this player.)

Is this because of something wrong on the site, or intentional due to settings the player in question (I'm not sure if it would be okay to mention names here) has chosen for his profile page?

Most likely the opponent in question has put you on his Ignore list. Why? Can't say.....but when someone ignores you you are restricted from messaging them........

His account is restricted, could be for a variety of reasons.
