In 2020 we had an off year but who didnt with this Covid running around!! In 2023 we exerted our dominance in the early months but fell short in the last quarter. We can be found in the elite top ten and often in first.

HISTORY OF THE TEAM:
The Knights Templar was created by player Knightemplar~1 on Sep 21, 2005. Player goldentweety became captain in Nov 2016. The Knights Templar merged with the UNKNOWN team Apr 2017. The UNKNOWN team was created by unit-x on Aug 9, 2011. The player wwppss became captain in Jan, 2013. The player poesimannen took over the captain role in Sep, 2013. The player wwppss became captain again in Apr, 2014. goldentweety remains captain of the merged team.
Together we have reached first place on the team ladder numerous times.

But this year my co captains moved on to take over their own teams.
I have had difficulty in filling matches and we have slipped from the top.

PLAYERS PLEASE PAY ATTENTION:

TIME OUTS: Our view on time outs is that they are rude and inconsiderate to your team mates and opponents. However, we know that emergencies may occur. Please know that there are vacation settings available so time outs SHOULD NOT happen. We ask you to be aware that your team's rating as well as your own will be affected by time outs. It also makes it very difficult to match you in team games since many captains will not accept challenges with players that have excessive time outs. If a player times out in 3 or more games, he or she WILL BE REMOVED from the team. If the player wishes to join again, when he or she can play without timing out, we can most likely work something out so that the player can rejoin.

Please set your "Max team game setting" to the number of games you're comfortable with. There's no pressure. The only thing we ask is that win or lose, you ALWAYS do it with humility, grace, dignity and don't time out. To set this, click on "Teams." Then on that page, click on "settings." Here you can set the number of games you want. This will keep the captain and co-captains from including you in matches when you have this number of games actively.

Please set your "Automatic challenge decline rules" to the number of days per move you are comfortable with. To set this, click on "Settings", In the upper right hand corner you will find "Automatic Challenge Decline Rules". In here you must set the minimum to 3, 5, or 7. You must set the maximum to a number higher than or equal to your minimum but for team games it must be 3, 5, or 7. This will prevent the captain or co captains from assigning you a 7 day game when you prefer to play 3 day games.

FREE MEMBERS are valuable to us and are always welcome here! However, due to Gameknot teams being limited 30 free players, any free member who has been inactive on Gameknot for a period of 30 days or more will risk being removed from the team to allow another free member the slot to play, unless the captain is notified. You are welcome to rejoin the team when you start playing again, if there is less than 30 free members.
