White needs to get rid of the e5 pawn which seems very difficult to do best try might be h7 Kxh7 Kg3 planning f4 next move. After that its only figuring out how to trade off his rook for dsb and getting his king to a1 and its a draw. I'd say it is worth playing out a few more moves.

Ra5, followed by Rd5 and then Rd6 was better for white. Rooks don't always belong behind passed pawns!

f4 is the only chance for a draw but a slim one at that.

Why not 52.Rxe5? It seems Black loses a bishop in that situation. if 52...Bf6, 53.Rxe8 a3 54.Ra8 and White has stopped the pawn.

Ra8 just holds for white.
