If White 'goes' Kxd4, he may as well go home at the same time.

It is worth pointing out that if
3. Re1 then b2
4. Kc4 then Nc1
5. Kc3 then b1=Q

Hmm
I was just thinking why not 3.Rc4 as the knight has moved but perhaps it goes like this?

(white to move)
1. Kd5 b3
2. Rc1 Ne2
3. Rc4 a5
4. Rc5 Kb6
5. Kc4 a4
6. Kb4 b2

And no way to stop queening
