This one really makes no sense? Why would the white king take the bishop at f2??? This would only prolong the game that is 2 from mate if the white king simply moves to either of f1 or h1. The way this puzzle is solved the black queen could chase around the white king putting them in check for many more moves.....this seems very inefficient to me.

I still don't understand why black, instead of Bxf2, wouldn't immediately Rxb8. That wouldn't be mate: even when white Re8, black could Rxe8. What am I missing?
